You know when you start a super big project and it takes super long, but then you finish? I always have that feeling of “now what?” Good thing I have a blog, right?! It means I can share it with all of you!
I love this blanket so much! When I first bought the Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice Yarn in Lilac and Pink Grapefruit, it was only because I loved the colors so much and couldn’t help myself. But then I saw them together and decided I needed to make a baby set.
So once I got the cream/ivory colored yarn from Hobby Lobby, everything else came into place and the Berries and Cream Baby Blanket was born. I’m so excited about this set, so stay tuned for the hat and booties coming soon! And as you can see, my little girls love this blanket! If we end up having a boy, it definitely will still be used.
While you wait, you can work on this beautiful blanket that reminds me of berries and creamy ice cream. It works up quickly and only uses the half double crochet stitch. Perfect for beginners! Enjoy!

Materials:
3 skeins of Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice Yarn in Lilac
2 skeins Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice Yarn in Pink Grapefruit
1 skein of Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn! in Ivory
Yarn Needle for sewing in ends

Stitches:
ch- chain
hdc – half double crochet
Gauge:
15 stitches x 13 rows = 4 inches
Blanket size: 36 inches x 36 inches
Pattern:
Ch 125,
Row 1: hdc in 3rd chain from hook, hdc in each chain across, turn. (123)
Rows 2- 100: ch 2, hdc in same stitch and each stitch across, turn. (123)
Finish off after row 100 and sew in all ends.
Change colors every 10 rows. Color changes should be as follows:
Rows 1-10: Lilac
Rows 11-20: Pink Grapefruit
Rows 21-30: Ivory
Rows 31-40: Lilac
Rows 41-50: Pink Grapefruit
Rows 51-60: Ivory
Rows 61-70: Lilac
Rows 71-80: Pink Grapefruit
Rows 81-90: Ivory
Rows 91-100: Lilac
